Psychotherapist opens Clinton office
CLINTON - Carol J. Lambert, LICSW, is a licensed clinician and has recently re-located the office for her private psychotherapy practice to the Clinton-Lancaster area in Central Massachusetts.
With extensive experience in grief work, Carol has helped many people deal with the loss of a loved one. As a marital counselor for thirty years, she has developed specific goals to help couples.
Carol started her career with a concentration in women’s issues, which laid the foundation for her general practice. She now says:
“I’m happy to work with any motivated individual. Talking helps. A separate place with a trained and impartial listener can be a haven for reevaluating one’s life. Individual psychotherapy is a way to find your passions and develop your talents, deal with conflict and loss and is an opportunity for introspection.”
Also a hypnotherapist, Carol uses a holistic approach to her work. Having faced physical challenges in her personal life, she has many skills for dealing with medical conditions and is a pain management specialist. As a community organizer for the past fifteen years Carol collaborated in Arlington, MA with town and school officials to organize parenting programs.
“I’m a strong believer in collaboration across community groups. I enjoyed being a social worker and a parent who brought together religious leaders, teachers, school administrators, the police and town politicians. It gave them a chance to share information and visualize programs to benefit families.” Carol has led parenting groups throughout her career.
Carol says the foundation to mental health is good self-esteem and seeing your choices.
